General: Daily Mail and General Trust plc (DMGT) is involved in the newspaper and media business. Its business activities are split into six divisions: national newspapers, regional newspapers, business-to-business information and careers, Euromoney Institutional Investor, exhibitions and radio. The Company's subsidiaries include Associated Newspapers Limited, Northcliffe Newspapers Group Limited, DMG Information Limited, Euromoney Institutional Investor plc, DMG World Media Limited and DMG Radio Holdings Pty Limited. The majority of the Company's operations are located in the United Kingdom, the rest of Europe, North America and Australia. On May 8, 2006, DMGT's Associated Newspapers division acquired Allegran, which runs Internet dating sites, and 62.5% of Data Media and Retail, home to Carsource.co.uk. In July 2007, the Company sold Northcliffe Retail to Rippleglen. In July 2007, DMGT's Northcliffe division acquired three portfolios of local media assets from Trinity Mirror.
