..."Its been good," Littrell said. "We had some rocky times at the beginning just trying to put the show together, trying to figure out who was going to do what song and... who was going to come after who and who was going to end the show. "We just had to talk about it, we had to communicate about it and figure it out but once we did that it turned outout to be a great show." According to Littrell, it was all about catering to both of the bands' long-established fan groups and making sure everybody gets a turn. "You swing away with the best songs youve got and the best dance moves and the best performance that you can put into it," he said. "But Im not going to say that its been perfect all the time, you know, youve got nine guys that are quite headstrong about what they want, what they want to do and how they want to do it. "Weve put together a pretty amazing show." Littrell said he gets a kick out of connecting with the crowd at the concerts. "Thats my thing, thats what I do, wave at the fans and I tell them 'hello'," he said. "I do what the fans are doing so they know that I can see them." With the Boys and Kids having well and truly become men, Littrell said there had been some noticeable changes since his band first formed almost 20 years ago. "The pitch of the audience is a little lower now... because everybody has grown up but I tell you they still go crazy," he said. "All our fans are wearing bras now so now they throw their bras up on the stage and stuff like that so thats a little different." He said their audience now ranges from kids as young as eight through to grandparents and that some of the original fans now bring their children along to shows. "Its completely surreal," he said. "To be in the entertainment business for 20 years and still have the luxury to travel around all over the globe and have fans who will pay for a ticket to come to see you perform ,I mean its a huge blessing." According to Littrell, the moment the curtain drops right at the beginning of the shows is when the loyalty of his fans really hits him. "You think 'oh my gosh theyre still here' its a blessing," he said. Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block perform at Burswood Dome on Tuesday. Tickets through Ticketek."

"The circumstances in which we recorded the first album weren't completely ideal for us. It just ended up being a difficult period in our lives because we were overseas and Joe was trying to pull the record in ways in which we probably wouldn't want to go.
